CONTRACTOR SERVICES PROJECTS

DON WESTON EXCAVATING, INC. - WINOOSKI HES 5100(13) - WINOOSKI, VT

Our firm served as the Workzone Traffic Engineer for the Winooski HES 5100(13) project. We prepared complete site-specific traffic control, pedestrian control, construction lighting, and detour plans for the project. The project included multiple phases of construction requiring numerous configurations of construction signage, changeable message boards, lane closures, uniform traffic officers, flaggers, construction lighting, temporary striping, and coordination with adjacent businesses and the City of Winooski Public Works Department. We attended project meetings with the VTrans Project Manager, VTrans Resident Engineer, VTrans Regional Engineer, City Public Works Director, Public Outreach Coordinator, and the contractor to develop and collaborate on traffic control configurations and considerations for work within the Winooski Traffic Circle. We provided workzone traffic engineering services throughout the construction phase of the project. We prepared traffic control phasing and sequencing documents that were used by the contractor and all traffic control personnel for each traffic control phase and detour package. We conducted nightly meetings during construction to review phasing and sequencing operations with the traffic control personnel and contractor.

G. W. TATRO CONSTRUCTION, INC. - COLCHESTER STP 5600(9)S - COLCHESTER, VT

Our firm prepared complete site-specific traffic control plans and narrative for the roadway widening, new signalized intersections, drainage improvements, waterline extension, and new pedestrian facilities project on Vermont Route 7, Vermont Route 2A, Bay Road, and Creek Farm Road in Colchester. The project included multiple phases of construction requiring numerous configurations of construction signage, construction equipment routes, lane closures, lane shifting, traffic flaggers, uniformed traffic officers, detours, temporary striping, and route confirmation signage, at three separate intersections within the project area. Our firm attended the preconstruction meeting and presented the traffic control plans to the project team including the VTrans Project Manager, VTrans Resident Engineer, VTrans Regional Engineer, VTrans plan reviewers, and Public Outreach Coordinator.

We also prepared Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control plans for the project. The EPSC plans included multiple phases, final stabilization plan, and an EPSC Narrative meeting the VTrans Contractor Checklist, complete with project sequencing, permitting conditions, and description of each phase of the project related to the EPSC Plan. The project includes stormwater outfalls, temporary stabilization, inlet protection, limit of disturbance fencing, and dewatering details.

G. W. TATRO CONSTRUCTION, INC. RICHMOND BRIDGE REPLACEMENT - RICHMOND, VT

Our firm prepared complete site-specific traffic control plans for the bridge replacement project on VT Route 2 adjacent to Snipe Island Road. The project includes multiple phases of construction requiring numerous configurations of construction signage, construction equipment routes, lane closures, lane shifting, traffic flaggers, detours, route confirmation signage, public outreach signage, and bridge closure structures and signage. The bridge closure included a detour that spanned from Waterbury to Richmond along Interstate 89 between Exit 10 and Exit 11. The site-specific plans also included detour routes for bicycles and pedestrians.

Our firm prepared complete EPSC Plans and narrative for the bridge replacement project. The project included the design of a temporary bypass pipe and coffer dam for conveying the Snipe Ireland Brook while demolishing and reconstructing the bridge. The project also included dewatering pumps for the coffer dam and associated EPSC measures to protect and prevent the discharge of sediments into the brook, as well as adjacent jurisdictional wetlands and archeologically sensitive areas. The EPSC plans included multiple phases, final stabilization plan, and an EPSC Narrative meeting the VTrans Contractor Checklist.

DESROCHES CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, INC. - KENNEDY DRIVE STORMWATER PROJECT - SOUTH BURLINGTON, VT

Our firm prepared erosion prevention and sediment control plans for the Kennedy Drive Stormwater Project. The EPSC plans were developed for the contractor to be implemented during multiple phases of the project.
