MILTON HIGH SCHOOL RECREATION FIELD REHABILITATION - MILTON, VT

DLHCE provided complete surveying and engineering design services for the Milton High School Recreation Field Rehabilitation Project. This project included complete regrading of the existing football field using a turfgrass sod cross section and adding new subsurface stormwater storage facilities. Our firm provided conceptual and preliminary plans, along with construction cost estimates for each alternative, and we prepared final contract plans and construction estimates.

MILTON HIGH SCHOOL ROOF DRAIN OUTFALL & STORMWATER GALLERY - MILTON, VT

DLHCE provided complete surveying, permitting, and engineering design services for the Milton High School Roof Drain Outfall and Stormwater Storage Gallery. An embankment and downstream drainage channel were severely eroded at the discharge end of the existing roof drain outfall. A large sinkhole at the top of the embankment had formed and resulted in sediment transport. Our team designed a solution to repair erosion and stabilize and restore the slope and downstream drainage channel. This project’s design also included a subsurface stormwater storage gallery for off-line storage of stormwater runoff from the roof for use in irrigating the recreation fields. This project was awarded the 2012 Governor’s Award for Environmental Excellence.

FOUNDERS MIDDLE SCHOOL STORM DRAINAGE SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS - ESSEX JUNCTION, VT

DLHCE provided complete design engineering services for the drywell stormwater system at the Founders Middle School in Essex. The existing system was experiencing overflow and capacity failures. Our team provided a design that regraded problem areas on site, installed infiltration trenches, and installed new drywell and catch basin structures.

SAINT MICHAEL’S COLLEGE RECREATIONAL FIELD IMPROVEMENTS - COLCHESTER, VT

DLHCE provided complete surveying and mapping for all of the recreational fields at the Saint Michael’s College Facility. Along with creating and updating their maps, our firm provided continuous engineering feasibility and design plans for improvements to the recreations fields.
